Dr. Tharwat leads Food Excellence with more than 29 years of professional experience in veterinary medicine, food safety, halal systems, biosecurity, and regulatory compliance.
She has extensive regulatory and academic experience and has contributed to the development of policies and regulatory frameworks related to food safety, animal health, feed, veterinary medicines, inspection systems, and control procedures.
Dr. Al-Bataineh also has international experience in halal and food safety auditing across different sectors, particularly meat, slaughterhouses, food processing, supply chains, and international trade.
Her expertise focuses on supporting organizations in implementing halal requirements, developing quality and food safety systems, conducting risk analysis, preparing for audits and certifications, and building the capacity of technical and management teams through specialized training and consultancy.
She is also committed to promoting the One Health approach, which recognizes the connection between human health, animal health, and environmental health. Her work also supports sustainability, traceability, and supply chain safety, helping build food systems that are more reliable and compliant with local and international standards.
